Regina's obituary
We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Regina "TEE-TEE GRANNY" Cameron, a cherished woman, mother, and friend who left us on August 19, 2023. Born on January 25, 1956, Regina was a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Justin and Jessica Cameron; her grandsons, Trevon Taylor, and Marcus Cameron; and her devoted sisters, Rhonda Faye Flanagan, Colleen Palmer, Colleen Yvette Palmer, and Deidra Janine Flanagan, and her Best Friend Rev. Gabe Green. Her life was enriched by the love of her late husband, Willie Cameron, her late brother, Alvin Hodges, and her beloved parents, Claudette Flanagan (Wyatt) and Cloy Fitzgerald.
A service to celebrate Regina's life will be held at 1:00 PM on September 1, 2023, at the St. James AME Church, a place close to her heart.
Regina, known for her vibrant personality, was a woman who relished in the simple joys of life. She had a voracious appetite for Mexican food, Rocky Road ice cream, Jessica's enchiladas, and soup & sandwiches. She enjoyed her Pepsi, Dr.Pepper, coffee, and water. The Holy Bible held a special place in her heart, and she was a fan of gospel music, old blues, and artists like Nelly and Da Baby.
Her favorite TV shows included 'The View,' Bible Shows, Crime Shows, and Court TV. She enjoyed watching action & drama movies too. Backgammon was her favorite game and she loved yard work, planting, gardening, reading her Bible, and always being on the phone with her BFF Gabe. Walking her dog and simply walking were her preferred activities to maintain her agility. Her loved vacation spots were any place away from home and cherished the local spots like the Zoo and Church.
She was an advocate for causes such as the ASPCA, Fighting against Racism, Human Rights, Justice, and Police brutality against African Americans. Her favorite colors were orange, red, and burgundy.
Regina was a woman who embodied compassion. Her legacy remains in her kindness, love for everyone she encountered, and the wisdom she imparted. Being a mother, wife, Retail Manager at Woolworth (CA), and a boss at the Church of Restoration were some of her grandest accomplishments. Her mantra, "Love is greater than anything we have going on," will continue to inspire us.
Regina's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be sorely missed for her unfiltered opinions, teachings, and the investments she made in her children's and friends' lives.
