As many of you know on facebook and from personal communication Mom passed very quickly. She had a very aggressive cancer however because of a late diagnosis her suffering was minimal. She loved each and every person so much in her family, her husband Fred, brothers and sisters, children, and grandchildren. She was ready to join her mother Gertude Mary Berg (ne Bentler) father Urban Nicholas Berg, and brothers Tom Berg and John Berg who passed before her. Her life was comfortable and she lived each day doing exactly what she wanted which usually included her favorite tv shows, bossing her husband around ( in a good way) , eating good food, lots of coffee, long naps, and running errands. She supported her local food pantries and also her Meals on Wheels . During her life she worked at Weyerhauser Paper Company, waitressed, and ran newspaper routes. She studied at Kirkwood Community College but chose to work many jobs to provide for her family instead of pursue her degree. She loved long drives to the small towns around Eastern Iowa and loved to stop and eat at different restaurants. She loved Diet Coke, Chicken Alfredo, and NBA basketball. She will be sorely missed.
