Becky's obituary
In Memoriam
Rebecca (Becky) Funk
September 8, 1929 - February 27,2022
Beloved wife, Mother Grandmother, Aunt and friend, she is survived by her sons Jeffry Martin Berkovatz, Nice California, and Franco Berkovatz, of the Philippines, Grandchildren Aaron and ancoNathan Berkovatz, five great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews, and many, many loving friends.
Born in Los Angeles, the family moved to San Francisco, where Becky remembers selling flowers from her parent's flower shop. She graduated high school, married, had her two loving sons, went to real estate school, where Becky shone. Her wonderful personality and love of people helped her to become a very successful realtor. In 1998, Becky and her husband, moved to The Springs in Rancho Mirage, joining the Golf club. Here she made so many friends who loved her as much as she loved them. Becky never met anyone she didn’t “adore”. Everyone was adorable!. She played golf, cards, mahjong, gin, any game where she enjoyed her friends. Actually, she made friends from around the world, as she and her husband would take golf vacations in exotic places with beautiful golf courses. She lived her life to the fullest
After her husband’s passing, she got back into real estate at the age of 82, where she worked for Coldwell Banker and Bennion Deville Homes. Still making friends and being successful. Becky moved to Nice, California to stay with her son, Jeff who was with her at her passing.
There will be a service for Becky at Forest Lawn, 69855 Ramon, Cathedral City, at 2 pm Thursday, March 16th. All are welcome.
