Reba's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reba Palmatier, who was born on April 18, 1957, and left this world on September 22, 2025.

Reba was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends. With her warm, fun-loving, and light-hearted personality, she had a gift for bringing joy to any room she entered. She found comfort in simple pleasures—curled up with a good book, a cat in her lap, often at her beloved cabin. Always dressed in her favorite color, purple, she enjoyed country music and never passed up a chance to savor good Chinese food.

A breast cancer survivor, Reba used her personal journey to advocate for awareness and support, inspiring those around her with courage and compassion.

Her proudest role was that of mother, grandmother, and—most recently—great-grandmother. She especially cherished welcoming Everett Snow, Eugene Dykstra, and Nola Gibson into the family, showering them with endless love and patience.

Reba is survived by her son, James Snow, along with many dear family members and friends both near and far. To know her was to love her.

Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were evident in her love for travel and her openness to new experiences. Reba’s courage in facing adversity, her deep love for her family, and her ability to find joy in life’s simplest moments are lasting lessons she leaves behind.

Though her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, Reba’s life was one of love, laughter, and happiness. God called her home far too soon, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
