Raymond's obituary
Raymond Torres Sanchez, 62, of Tyler, Texas, embarked on his final journey on December 25, 2025. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy marked by laughter, kindness, and a restless spirit of adventure that touched everyone who knew him.
A lifelong resident of Tyler, Raymond was a man who found beauty in the world and joy in the journey. He was a dedicated professional who proudly served the Tyler Junior College community for over 20 years. During his time there, he nurtured his passions for computer graphics and outdoor photography, often capturing the quiet, timeless beauty of the Texas landscape through his lens.
When he wasn't behind a camera or a computer, Raymond felt most at home on the open road. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he cherished the freedom of riding and the wind against his face—a passion that perfectly reflected his adventurous soul. Above all else, Raymond was a loving son, devoted husband, caring father, and loyal friend. He could always be counted on for a laugh and will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room.
Raymond is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Sanchez; his mother, Helen Sanders; his children, Amanda Romo of Lindale, Sandra Faulkner of New York, and Daniel Sanchez of Tyler; and his siblings, Christi Bolton, Rachel Roark, James Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, Russel Sanchez, and Raphe Sanchez. He is also lovingly remembered by a cherished generation of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Wayne; his father, Mike Sanchez Jr.; his grandfather, Mike Sanchez Sr.; his grandson, Erick Lopez; and his granddaughter, Jacqueline Rocha.
