Raymond Lee Edwards, 77, of Indianapolis passed away surrounded by family on March 13, 2025, at Franciscan Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born on April 24, 1943, in Indianapolis, he was the son of late D’wayne and Amara Edwards.

Raymond attended Shortridge High School and graduated in May of 1961. In high school, Raymond was the quarterback of the high school football team, he also played basketball and was a member of the Comic Club. He later worked as a warehouse operator for many years, was a mechanic, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Edwards of Indianapolis; children, Ashlynn Brown of Greenwood; grandchildren Jada and Jasmine Edwards of Indianapolis, and Alexis Johnson of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, D’wayne and Amara Edwards and sister, TaJane Edwards.
