Hi Elaine, I hope you remember who I am. I was in Florida visiting my friends this past March. I met Ray outside a few times and we really really hit it off, talking about family, kids, and sports. When I saw the Rangers plaque in your garage, I knew he was a special guy. In that short amount of time, I could tell what a super person he was. We laughed together when he told me he was from Brooklyn New York, and my response was the home of Ralph Kramden. I was looking forward to sharing a beer with him next winter. At this time I’m so lost for words I really don’t even know what to say. When you, the kids, and grandkids are looking at pictures, sure there will be tears, but knowing Ray, he would want them to be happy tears. Hi Elaine.

Like John Godfrey, I played a lot of ball with Ray. I was the guy who hit the ball through his window across the street from P.S.107. We had a lot of fun playing ball with John Corrar and the gang. I have been thinking about Ray a lot lately, especially since John Corrar passed. I am very sorry for your loss, I would of liked to have known Ray more as an adult, but such is life.
