RayLee's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of RayLee Weiland, who left us on August 21, 2024. Born on November 11, 1974, RayLee lived a life full of vitality, joy, and fearless confidence.
RayLee leaves behind a loving family, who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chris Weiland, whom she married in 1997. Her sons, Gerald, Chris, and Walter, and her daughter, Ashley Sheffield, grieve her, as do her daughter-in-law, Genna Taylor, son-in-law, Zach Sheffield, and daughter-in-law, Kayla Weiland. Her beloved mother, Judy Casper, and siblings, Donna I Casper, Dawn Pedersen, Trish Barrett, Trudy King, and Donald Casper, will miss her deeply. Her sister-in-law, Destiny Collier, and niece, Courtney Weiland, also survive her. RayLee was predeceased by her father, Raymond Pedersen.
RayLee was a woman full of life, known for her wit and vibrant personality. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, from enjoying her favorite foods - blueberries and BBQ, to sipping on her beloved coffee and water. A fan of Stephen King and the horror genre, she took delight in a good scare. Listening to Iron Maiden, playing Candy Crush, watching American Horror Story, Pulp Fiction, The Purge, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, SAW, and spending time in her favorite local spots, particularly the beach, were among her many passions.
She loved the outdoors, gardening, and arts and crafts, which she often enjoyed with her family and friends. Cardio exercises were her preferred way to stay fit. The most significant lessons she shared were about self-belief, as she would say, "Don't doubt yourself."
Among her many accomplishments, RayLee was most proud of raising a wonderful family, completing her Fitness/Nutrition degree, and being a co-owner of a company. Her legacy, however, is one that goes beyond her personal achievements – it is a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
A Celebration of Life for RayLee will be held twice, firstly on November 11, 2024, at 8:00 PM in Florida and, subsequently, at 7:00 PM in Texas. As we honor and remember RayLee, we echo her words, "Love you bigger."
