It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ray Thomas, a remarkable man whose love of life and infectious spirit were an inspiration to all who knew him. Ray was born on November 23, 1968, and sadly passed away on July 21, 2025.

Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon Thomas, to whom he was married for a beautiful 28 years since their union in 1997. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Stefanie (Jon), and step-son, Tim (Celia), as well as his sister, Gloria Morse (Barry), Sister-in-law, Karen Collins. One niece, Jamie and his three grandchildren Nia, Ryan and Amara.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Keith Thomas and mother Cynthia Thomas.

A man of varied interests, Ray was an avid reader with a particular fondness for J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings". His passion for sports was just as encompassing, supporting the Chicago Cubs, enjoying the thrill of Formula1 racing, and cheering on Wrexham Football. In his downtime, Ray found joy in reading and listening to music of all genres. He was an avid online gamer and live DJ for his discord followers.

Ray had a passion for perfecting smoked brisket, ribs, pork and chili, which he loved sharing with his family and friends to enjoy.

Ray’s personality was truly one in a million; he was known for his sharp wit and generous nature, always ready to offer a funny joke or a helping hand. This legacy of kindness and generosity will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

The world may have lost a beautiful soul, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. We celebrate Ray's life and honor his spirit, knowing he will be profoundly missed. Yet, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity lives on in the hearts of those he loved.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
