It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ray Green, a beloved father and grandfather, who left us on July 13, 2025. Born on December 30, 1958, Ray lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind memories filled with love, laughter, and his unique spirit.
Ray is survived by his devoted daughter, Shequine Green, and his cherished grandchildren, Kamari, Damari, and Ty'Mari Green. His love for them was evident in the way he doted on his grandchildren and supported his daughter in every way possible. His absence will leave an irreplaceable void in their lives.
Known for his impeccable taste, Ray was a lover of both Lobster and Steak and had an affinity for an ice-cold sweet tea. He had a passion for the tunes of Lil Wayne, and would often play his music at family gatherings. His favorite movie, 'Cabin in the Sky', was a testament to his love for classics.
Ray was an avid supporter of the Steelers, always ready to cheer on his beloved team. He relished friendly competition and was often found playing Spades, much to the delight of his loved ones. His favorite recreational activities included watching TV, fishing, and meticulously cleaning his treasured truck.
A strong advocate of the benefits of physical activity, Ray enjoyed walking and swimming. He had a particular fondness for the Bahamas, which he visited regularly and considered his favorite vacation spot. Locally, one could find Ray savoring a meal at the Longhorn Steakhouse, a place he frequented.
Ray had a special love for the color Black, which resonated with his strong and charismatic personality. While we mourn the loss of Ray, we strive to honor his memory by celebrating the love he had for life and the joy he brought to others.
