Mr. Ray Charles Collins, age 90, of Conyers, Georgia, died May 15, 2019 at his home after an extended illness.

A native of Tarrytown, Georgia, he was a son of Charles Hilton “Charlie” Collins and Bessie Lee Kight Collins. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and was the retired owner of Collins Interiors.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins was predeceased by his sisters, Myrtice Hamilton, and Doris Powell.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gale Williamson Collins of Conyers; children, Mike Collins (Debbie) of Ruckersville, VA, and Bess Kearns (Tim) of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Austin Collins of Statesboro, Bonnie McNichols (Jordan), and Taylor Kearns (fiancé Daniel Young), all of Nashville, TN; great-grandson, Palmer McNichols; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Rockland United Methodist Church in Lithonia. Henry Funeral Home of Lithonia is in charge of arrangements.
