You will be missed Raul. You always had a smile on your face but it always shined brighter when you talked about your kids. I always admired you as a father.

Although I don’t know Raul very well, it pains me to know that someone who I see regularly in my CrossFit classes are not going to be around anymore. He has always brought good energy for the whole class. Raul will be missed ❤️

Raul is such a kindhearted and down to earth person. He was persistent with his biking and running goals and we find that honorable and so tragic that we lost him like this. Sending love, healing, and hope for his family members and those affected from this. We are thankful to have known Raul and he will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss!  I remember Raul as a kind and funny gentleman.  It was always a treat when we'd get to see him at Bigs to share a drink and a laugh.  I am happy that I was able to be part of his team in the Ragnar relay back in 2016.  That was so much fun!  He will be missed by all!

My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to you and the entire Castaneda family.   I was deeply saddened to hear of your Raul’s passing.   He was a wonderful man, and I am glad that I had the chance to spend time with him.   May God give you the peace that you need at this time.......

I am sorry I never had the privilege of knowing Raul.  But I do know he was part of a loving and generous family and I send my condolences to all.  May your strong bonds and shared memories support you in your loss.

My notable memory with Raul was when we both carpooled to the Lululemon 10k race less than 1 month after doing the LA Marathon. During that drive, we connected on what we did for work, his family, our love for our CrossFit community and just future races he was gonna do. I also remember that he was looking forward to do his 10th LAM in 2025.

My prayer and condolences goes to Raul’s family as they go through this time. May God comfort his as Raul was taken too soon from their lives. And I pray to God for those who have been blessed with Raul’s presence that they may also be comforted knowing that he will be in a better place.
