It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ratana Faye Saeyiem (Hope, Indiana), born to Vodie and Mary Susan Padfoot the only child born to her parents on the Reservation of Clinton, Missouri, Ratana passed away on September 5th, 2022, at the age of 66 leaving behind mourning family: Husband- Gandhi Saeyiem (Bangkok, Thailand), Son- Ponch Saeyiem (Wichita, KS) and scores of numbers of closely and warmly regarded friends. Everyone that knew her instantly loved her and would never forget her. She was a tireless supporter and lover of animals, Ratana volunteered hundreds of hours in support to the Humane Society. She always saw the positive side out of every situation and always saw the good in everyone. She lived in Hope, IN from 1987 to present. Her ashes will be spread in accordance to her native traditions followed by a private ceremony of the passing of the soul. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers or any monetary donations, that the celebrators instead plant a willow tree in honor of the celebrated. The memorial page of Ratana Faye (Padfoot) Saeyiem had been funded by the elders of the Northern Cherokee tribe of Clinton, Missouri The scattering of ashes will be held on Thursday, September 15th 2022 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hope Moravian Church (202 Main Street, Hope, Indiana 47246).
