I remember when Randy was serving on our team at our church for Saturday night services.  As we filled  communion cups, we would talk  and laugh, and in the end, prayer requests were brought up.  This was a special time for us to pray as a team.  One particular request was for prayer for one of our team member's spouse who was at home and not feeling well that evening.  Randy offered to lead us in prayer for that need.  On the following Saturday evening, Paul, whose wife we prayed for, the following week asked us, if we remember the exact time we prayed for his wife, because she was healed during our prayer!  I will always remember how Randy lead us in prayer with such passion, seriousness, and expectation of a healing to take place.  Praise the Lord for his servants on earth💙🤗🙏🙏🙏✝️.  Looking forward to laughing, and sharing, and praising the Lord together for all eternity,  when we all see you again!

I was saddened upon hearing of Randy’s passing. Even though I hadn’t seen him in a number of years I still felt a closeness and a special regard for him. He was funny and had a heart of gold. My condolences to Wendy and the entire Travis family.

What can I say about Randy that those close to him don’t already know. If it had an engine he could fix it or make it better. If it needed to be built or repaired he was the best person for the job. Almost impossible to beat him at a game of HORSE or even quick game of one on one. Loved the Lakers especially when Magic was around, big Kobe fan too. Lots of energy, so much that everyone else had hard time keeping up. Loved to drive, though reminds me of somewhat terrifying ride in Heather’s Scion. Watching his butterfly was like art in motion. Building the block wall and garage at the Muscatel house he always knew exactly what to do. Playing catch with Luke and Alex on Thanksgiving every year.

Most lasting impression: Randy was ever the Godly gentleman.

He was incredibly generous with his time and resources-his backhoe appeared on weekends where friends needed it.

I’ll cherish doing stuff together, whether it was pruning trees, eating fish, or selling garage items at the CCV rummage sale.

And he always prayed for our children and grandchildren by name, to keep them safe in this complex world.

Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.”

Randy was gripped by that fear and understood the enormity of the Gospel and of our God. And he was wise. Wise enough to guide young couples in pre-marital counseling. Wise enough to know that leading by example was much more effective than preaching. Wise enough to counsel family and neighbors through everyday struggles.

Randy had an overwhelming awareness of God’s greatness, holiness, and power. And His love.

We will miss our gentle giant.

Randy complained the dirt was too hard to dig. I told him Greg dug 90% of the building and never complained. I looked over 20 minutes later and all I saw were the tail lights on Randy’s truck. He was one of those people that made ever day special. You are missed by all and you are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Randy was an amazing prayer warrior and such a blessing to our Thursday night group. He was so kind hearted and ever ready to pray for anyone at anytime.

We would always love to see Randy on our jobs, when I would drive up to the job and would see Randy’s truck I knew it was going to be a good fun day, you will be missed.

Randy accompanied Micah to the Little Angels Breakfast at CCV. I was always a bit concerned about Micah's behavior and Randy would only tell me he had fun and was no worse than any other 2 year old! Randy did not like posing for pictures so this is a treasured photo! What a great Godly role model Randy was for Micah. I always appreciated his willingness to pray over meals while we were together. I could not have chosen a better Godfather for Micah.

Randy was such a good friend, He spent many hours helping me work on my equipment, welding or repairing so I can get back to work. We often enjoyed playing basketball and golf together. My first Glamis trips were with him and his family.

My favorite memory of Randy is how he would always lead our ushers ministry in prayer right before we would take communion and always ask each one of us how he could pray for our family and friends who need help with a sincerity that would make us feel as if Our Lord was there in the mist of our group what a great man of God. Enter into the arms of our Savior my friend you made a difference in our lives.
