Randy was born in Des Moines Iowa on February 14, 1961 to Shirley Ceretti and Jimmy Strait. Randy lived on the Southside of Des Moines for most of his life, where he would eventually meet and marry his sweetheart Charlene Combs. They were blessed with two wonderful children.
