I had the honor of working with Randy at the Fort Smith Convention Center, starting in January 2023. Randy was an incredible person, and I’m grateful for the time we spent together. He taught me so much, both professionally and personally. I always admired how he spoke about his family with such love and pride. He was especially proud of his kids and grandkids, and it was clear how much they meant to him.

I will never forget our last conversation. Randy began by saying, “It’s hard for me to talk to you,” knowing how hard losing my mom to cancer was and how quickly it took her. Throughout his illness, I would always end our calls by saying, “Boss, I’m praying for you,” and his response was always the same, “I know it.” But during that final conversation,  I said, “Boss, I love you and I’m praying for you,” he replied with something I’ll hold close to my heart forever: “I know you do, and I love you too.”

Randy’s kindness, wisdom, and strength touched my life in ways I can’t put into words. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that he will always be remembered with love and respect. 

I met and came to know Randy thru work.  He was one of those people with whom I made an instant connection with the moment I met him.  His kindness and positivity were welcoming and his energy infectious.  Randy learned that we shared the same health issues, and he went out of his way to offer me encouragement to face and fight this terrible disease.  His "never-give-up" attitude is something I carry with me every day to help me stay in this fight and his loss was deeply personal for me.  

Rest in Peace Randy!   Your fight is over, and your battle is won!
