So sorry for your loss. Randy was a great man and would do anything to help others. He was a warm presence and made the world a better place with his humor, support, and many gifts. My father counted Randy as one of his closest friends and was grateful for their friendship. He was touched by the artwork Randy created for my parents and enjoyed their many memories. God bless Randy and his family.
Randy came into my life way back when - after his motorcycle accident. I was his speech/language/cognition therapist in Carbondale, IL where he spent two summers working with me in his rehabilitation efforts. Together, we dismantled his life approaches and put them back together in new, different strategies. This included all his businesses and obligations. It was very apparent to me that Randy was a very unique and special individual. When one shares everything about their life - it is a surrendering and I was fortunate to receive that gift to help him. We actually became good, trusting friends as time went by. You see I learned as much from him as he learned from me. We stayed in touch now and then - most recently a few month ago. He would share his paintings - who knew! I told him I really must of rehabbed his right brain! (the creative side). I will always treasure Randy as a kindred spirit of mine. Jan
So sad to hear about Mr. Randy, I regret not taking time to sit more with him and chat, I am grateful that I was in his presence for a short time, he always came outside just to yell and waive hi Christie! I will remember every moment as short as it may have been, Sweet Man. RIH.
