We finally got to take that Wrigley tour on my 35th birthday:). Of course we hung out in the Press Box for a bit.

Some of my very fondest memories are spending time with Jocelyn, Zach and Phil with Randall and Patrice at the home in Greenfield during Holiday breaks. I always felt so welcome, at home, and loved. The light and joy Randall always emitted was contagious. It was an honor to be surrounded by this family’s love growing up and I am forever grateful. Randall, you will be greatly missed but always in my heart. My deepest condolences and all my love to all of the family.

For those of you wondering, his call sign adopted from his father, Jesse "Popeye" Shields, was K9LAV.
While staying with the Shields' for a few days one summer... comparing Kirby Puckett baseball card collections, prevailing in a Ninja style knife fight, and being a part of a hot air balloon crew, my Uncle Randy said, "Hey Terry! Come over and get in!" After helping inflate Chesty, the Marine Corp Bulldog hot air balloon, I got to partake in a once in a lifetime adventure. Just a few of many good memories my Uncle left me with. RIP UR! Love you!
We were at the farmers market the other morning, something we started doing every Sunday since we moved to DC. Something that I loved - coffee, breakfast, watching all the dogs, and listening to the music. Randall loved it too, we had talked about it many times. Zach and I had gotten our coffee and breakfast, and went to listen to the blue grass band that reminded us of Randall (his favorite kind of music) while we ate. I asked Zach if we should request a song for dad and as soon as I did, a man came up and joined the band, they played β€œI’ll Fly Away”. The man encouraged us all to sing along, and we did. Then he left the band. We knew Randall made that happen to send us a sign. We saw the man later, and thanked him. He was the founder of the market and his name was Mitchell - Randall was a hot air balloon pilot, he got his ballooning license in Mitchell, South Dakota. I had told Zach the day after he passed I saw him flying away in a hot air balloon.... as we were leaving, another woman who came after requested the song again, and they played it again as we walked away. β™₯️
