Randall Richard Johnson, born August 29th, 1966, in Minneapolis, passed away on November 6th, 2025. He leaves behind so many people who loved and cared for him; across so many different communities. Randy was an artist, a musician, a gardener, a docent, a tilemaker, an amazing cook and those are some of the words we use to quantify him, to easily understand him. He was so much more! The gardening he loved was picking the seeds out from the catalog, and starting them inside, and nurturing their growth. But he hated weeding the garden; that he left to his wife, and the rabbits. Randy’s enthusiasm for the things he loved spilled out in some of the most joyous and happy moments; and that love and enthusiasm will be deeply missed.

He took so much joy in welcoming people–whether it was to the dance floor, or to the drama of the Vikings, or to our home, if Randy invited you, he meant it. He was inviting you into his life, and his love, and so many people said yes. Remember that and carry it with you.

Randy was a good man; and he will be missed by all of us. He loved his family and his friends, and we’ll hold that love in our hearts and remember all of him.
