Randall's obituary

Randall Stuart "Randy" Markham of Deer Park, TX passed away on July 30, 2023 at Pasadena, TX surrounded by his wife Nancy, daughter Brandi, and granddaughter Samantha.

Randall was born to John and Anna Fae Markham on July 10, 1952 in Trinity, TX. Randy had two older brothers John and Jeff Markham, Randy was the baby of the family and was often raised as the only child in the house.

Randall was a man of many talents, as a young boy Randy played baseball as well as participating in football and track in high school. His record as the fastest sprinter at Deer Park High School still stands, a symbol of his hard work and dedication. After graduating high school in 1971, he attended Blinn College where he fell in love with the area and often enjoyed floating the river. Randall married the love of his life Nancy in 1975 and welcomed their daughter Brandi into the world in 1976. Soon after that Randy landed a job as a Chemical Operator ultimately becoming his career. Randy dedicated the following 30 years of his life as a Chemical Operator for Air Products. After retiring from Air Products, he moved to Trinity, TX and worked as a Correctional Officer at the TDC Huntsville Ellis Unit for five years while taking care of his father before retiring in 2013.

Randall was an avid fisherman and a sharp shooter, there was nothing Randy loved more than to go hunting and fishing yet, his most cherished roles were being an active grandfather and great grandfather. His family was the core of his existence, a love was tangible and irreplaceable. He was a man who believed in the golden rule – treating others as he wished to be treated. In his last hours, Randall was surrounded by his wife, daughter and granddaughter, His granddaughter Samantha sang gospel songs to him that provided a sense of tranquility for Randy allowing him to find comfort and peace, easing his transition to the afterlife and reminding him that he was surrounded by the love of his family every step of the way.

Randall is survived by his wife Nancy Markham; daughter Brandi Markham and son-in-law James Bear; grand-daughter who was his pride and joy Samantha Stitt; great-granddaughters McKinley and Blakely Stitt, all of Deer Park, TX; brother John Markham and family of Ore City, TX; brother Jeff Markham and family of Huntsville, TX; sister-in-law Mary Walker of La Porte, TX; nephews Steven Walker, James Kolakowski, and Robert Kolakowski. Randall was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Fae Markham; his father, John Wooters Markham ll; his grandparents, Papa Sam and Mama Ella; and his uncle, Tom Markham.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Randall will be held on October 14th, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at 1300 E Thirteenth St, Deer Park, TX 77536. Family and friends are invited to come together to reminisce on memories, and share prayers, plants and flowers are welcome.

As we remember Randall, we reflect on a life well-lived that will continue to influence and inspire. His teachings, accomplishments and memory will reverberate thought generations.

Rest in peace, Randall Markham you will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
