I worked with Randy and Carol for several years at Sherwood Forest Camp, and came to know they outside of the camp environment also. I even had the opportunity to baby site for Sarah-Kate and Mitchell a couple of times. I was blessed to have known Randy.
Mr. Glenn was my 6th grade math teacher. Actually my favorite teacher ever. I am about D- to F average student in math and have had a math tutor since 3rd grade through undergrad. I got a A in math in 6th grade because of Mr. Glenn. I don't think I ever got one before or in my years after. He believed in us kids and I actually enjoyed going to math and got good at it for 1 year. For math it was all about the teacher for me and he really helped me and I did it because he took the time to believe in me. I am really sad to know he passed away. But very thankful I will see him in heaven. Maybe he can teach me cool math in heaven when it's my time to go. Farewell for now Mr. Glenn you made a huge impact in my life and to this day I never forgot you even though I will be 37 this year. I pray for healing and comfort for Mr. Glenn's family and that they know he is cherished and remembered.
So sorry for your loss, I only knew Randy in his role as substitute teacher which he was wonderful at. He will be missed at Mt Hope. Keeping you in my prayers, Glenda Easterday
I taught with Randy at SMS as the ELA teacher on his 6th grade team. Randy was truly always the kids' favorite, as he had such a great sense of humor. My favorite personal memory of Randy was actually on my wedding day. I was having an outdoor wedding, and the morning of the wedding, it was raining like there was a monsoon. Randy called me and was worried for me that the rain would ruin my outdoor wedding. He even offered up his house to me for my ceremony if I wanted it. I declined, and luckily the rain all dried up, but I will never forget Randy's incredibly generous offer. He truly had a great heart, and we will all miss him!
Randy was a reading teacher at South Middle and his classroom was one down from me. He was always smiling and laughing. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I worked with Randy at South middle school. Randy was the kind of person that made you happy to go to a middle school 😉 because he cared about his students and he was a pleasant man that always treated everyone equally nice. Rest in Peace
