Ramon's obituary
Ramon Flores Vazquez, aged 78, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Kissimmee, Florida. Born on January 13, 1946, in Puerto Rico, Ramon served with distinction as a Navy Vietnam Vet, then worked with Con Edison in New York, owned a grocery store in Philadelphia and later moved to Ohio and retired from the VA hospital. He found solace and joy in gardening, nurturing plants with the same dedication he committed to every endeavor in his life.
Ramon is survived by his wife Rosa Diaz De Jesus and her children Hilda Ortiz, Claudio Ortiz JR and Margarita Ortiz and his children, Rosemeli Flores Sanchez, Theresa Lucas , Benitza Montgomery, Rayny Formanes, Flor Morales, Ana Rita Albino and Jessie Flores. He was a cherished grandfather to Rosie, Chelsea, Sammy Jo, Dustin, William (Bebe), Mark Joel, Marc-Joelitza, Rosalinda, Dortha-Belle, Brandon, Shyenne, Ryan, Teresa, William (BamBam), Dewell and Isiah and he adopted other's along the way. They all preceded him in death, leaving a legacy filled with love and fond memories.
The family has entrusted Funereria Borinquen in Kissimmee, FL, with the arrangements. Ramon's life and service will be honored by his family and friends in accordance with his wishes. His commitment to his nation and his family remains an inspiring beacon for all who knew him.
Celebration of Life will be held at the following locations:
Florida: The Funereria Borinquen celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 27, 2024 from 12pm- 3pm .
Ohio: The Home of Benitza Montgomery in Cleveland Ohio on Saturday August 17, 2024 from 2Pm till 6:00 pm.
