My favorite memories with Ralph involved chatting with him at holiday gatherings.  Typical of the photos in this collection, Ralph was always planning his next trip or recovering (!) from his last.  He is a person who totally enjoyed life and the many different adventures he would experience to push the envelop.  I miss those chats, and his stories and him.  He was always a "good fellow well met."
Just found out  that Ralph is gone. I was his paralegal for three years at Lewis, Brisbois, et al. Ralph was an exacting supervisor, who also never hesitated to let me know that he appreciated my efforts. He taught me so much about litigation, and his passion for it was evident in every day that I worked with him. Underneath that tough exterior was a great heart. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Happy birthday Ralph! Boy we miss you! I know you’re having a Negroni with God right about now. We think of you often and when little reminders come up they turn into a story or memory of you and then a chuckle. Comforting hugs to Linda, Katrina & Kali today as you celebrate Ralph

I am so sorry to hear  of Ralph’s passing.

I still remember meeting him when i was 22  and working at Travelers.  He and David Larson came to visit.  The Travelers folks told me stories of the two of them - and then i was fortunate enough to practice law with them!

He will be missed!

I was so sorry to hear about Ralph's untimely passing. He was so full of life and had such love for his family and friends. He was always someone you can count on - and what made him so special was his interest in others and warm smile.  He will be missed and I will forever cherish our friendship.
So sorry to hear of Ralph’s untimely passing.  I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together when we were at Dave Larson’s firm.  He was an inspiration.

Ralph was a great friend and left a void in our hearts. He always had a sincere smile and a warm handshake. Ralph was very active in the Italian-American community and truly interested in his Italian heritage.  A proud Italian-Sicilian-American man! It was always a pleasure seeing and speaking with him. I will miss you Ralph.

My condolences to Linda and to the entire Zappala family.

Ralph was a valued business colleague. He was whip smart, generous and funny. He was quick to offer assistance to all and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. The world has lost a good guy. My condolences to your family.
I am so sorry for this loss. Ralph was a good man and I knew him through the ProVisors network. He was always a joy to be around. He was so funny and smart. Again, so sorry for this loss. You are in my prayers.
Linda, we're so sad for your loss. Ralph was always one of my favorite guys at the FDCC meetings--one of the faces you'd look for in the crowd because he was warm and funny and easy to talk to.  I especially liked the meetings that we both attended "stag" because I knew I could count on Ralph to keep me rolling with off-color jokes.  Blessings to your family in this difficult time.
Although in different offices of the firm, Ralph was memorable as one of the truly nice people.  Always calm. Always polite. Always on top of any issue he faced.  Coupled with a great sense of humor and a smile that let you know you could not get anything by him!

So sorry in losing a good friend. He was an excellent lawyer who tried a jury trial with me and later an arbitration.  He always had a happy face and we very alike in many things. He loved life and especially was a proud Italian. I would kid him about his limited Italian vocabulary which was a mixture of Sicilian and American idioms. He laughed when I called him a Wonderbread Italian. I miss him. Condolences to his family

Linda, so sad to get news of Ralph’s passing. Gretchen and I will always remember the nite the 4 of us danced into the wee hours at Kline Vineyards.  We have a note headed your way.

We'll miss Ralph, Road trips in the Corvette where he used all 400hp.  I can see him at the dinner table on the deck up at the lake in Montana, Ralph could cook, he could cleanup, He was a great friend at the party.  I'll look over my shoulder to see if  he is coming though the door at Pier 23 in SF.                                                            Our sincere condolences to His family,   Gayle and Tom Busby
