Ralph Alan Mitchell (Al), 80, of Adrian Michigan, passed away on March 25th, 2022 surrounded by family at the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital.

Alan was born on November 14th, 1941. Upon graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he traveled the world. After serving his country, he met his wife of 51 years, Yvonne Mitchell (Rogers) and they had two children Chad and Heather. In his life he enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, trains of all kinds, and flying. He was a member of the Michigan Snowmobile Association and Blissfield Model Railroad Association. He worked as a printing salesman and also published Michigan Snowmobile News.

Al was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Robert (Carol) Mitchell, his father Elmer Cornett, his brother Robert Mitchell, his son Scott Mitchell, and daughter Holly LaHart. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Mitchell(Rogers), his son Chad Mitchell (April Handley-Mitchell), and daughter Heather Reckley (Robert). He was the grandfather of Malaia Merillat, Kyle LaHart, Brian and Brock Stricklin, Colin and Mitchell Reckley; great grandfather of Damien and Salem Bebeau, and Zayn LaHart and uncle to Lance Mitchell (Tracy).

A celebration of life will be held for him at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 156 E. Maumee Street in Adrian. There will be a short memorial service at 1 PM, on April 30th followed by a celebration of life from 1:30-4. All friends and family are invited to attend.
