Ralph's life was defined by his dual passions for animals and vintage automobiles. The restoration of his cherished 1954 Chevy Bel Air was a longstanding endeavor. He was also deeply devoted to his equine pursuits, notably his award-winning horse, Buck, and steadfast support for his daughters' rodeo endeavors during their high school years, acting as both cheerleader and horse wrangler. Furthermore, he took pleasure in breeding Australian Shepherds, usually keeping a couple on his farm. Ralph's personal life saw him marry Judy Jones in 1962, with whom he had five children over 18 years, followed by his marriage to Esther Jo Kesgard in 1983, combining their families until her passing in 1996. He later married Hazel Goodwin in 2009, sharing his life with her until his own passing. Ralph drove truck for many different companies over the years until he retired. Surviving family members are his sister Marlyn Cox (Oregon), Daughters Deborah A Bauer (Coeur D Alene, Idaho) Marcy L Hendry (Alan) (Twin Falls, Idaho). Son Phillip L Goodwin (Kim) (Kuna ,Idaho) and wife Hazel Goodwin (Eden,Idaho). He also had three step kids Dawn Kesgard, Steven Kesgard and Amy Aves . He also has 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ralph is predeceased in life by his parents Eugene and Loretta Goodwin sister Karen Lent and brother Donald Goodwin and Sons Dale L Goodwin and Dean E. Goodwin.
