Ralph's obituary
Ralph Eugene Bradshaw, 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Kearney, Missouri, on July 23, 2025, surrounded by his close family and loyal canine companion, Roxy. Born on February 12, 1953, Ralph lived a full and memorable life defined by his creativity, wild “stubborn” spirit, faith, and deep love for his friends and family.
Ralph worked at Owens Corning for 33 years, retiring in 2010. He was known for working hard when he had to, slacking when he could, and staying fiercely loyal throughout. His mischievous and ornery ways left a lasting impact on those he worked alongside.
In his younger days, Ralph had a passion for muscle cars, dirt bikes, and riding his Harley with friends. Though health challenges eventually made it difficult for him to ride, he traded his Harley for a golf cart and kept enjoying life—whether fishing in his pond or relaxing in his “man palace.”
A man of many talents and interests, Ralph loved music and found joy in blaring his jukebox and dancing around or peacefully playing his guitar. He found solace in drawing, painting, and gardening. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Eugene and Alta Goldeva Bradshaw, and his brothers, Gary and Bobbie Bradshaw.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; his children: Bill Woodford (wife Dani), Shawna Suzuki (husband Yuki), Shanan Chandler (husband Brad), and Shane Bradshaw; his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Gail McCourt; and his cherished grandchildren: Kennedy and Gavin Riddle, Paul and Henry Chandler, Yuli Smith (husband Joel), Reina, and Maya Suzuki, and Chloe and Torri Toothman. He is also survived by his favorite aunt, Shirley Garrison; nephews Brian McCourt (wife Adrienne) and Ryan McCourt (wife Amber); and great-niece, Adelynn McCourt.
Funeral arrangements will be held at The Well Church, 14318 N. Virginia Ave., Smithville, MO 64089. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 12:30 p.m. A procession led by motorcycles and hot rods will escort Ralph to his final resting place, with a graveside service at St. Pat’s Catholic Church Cemetery, 19384 234th Rd., Atchison, KS 66062.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Well Church in Ralph’s memory.
Ralph will be deeply and truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
