Rajimami was an excellent artist. I remember watching her paint an old Krishna statue lying at home. She redid the body paint and the features very effortlessly and made the Statue as good as new!
Besides I can't forget how I sat with her late nights on many occasions outside my doorstep watching her make expansive kolam designs outside the front door. No stencil, no measurements required and she would come up with a perfectly symmetrical kolam designs. One such night, I was watching her intently in awe and she suddenly said,' Inda kolathuude entrance onnude veetu vasallley pottukarein'. She did that and anyone looking at it would think the kolam was drawn at our doorstep!
A very smart and efficient lady, she was always brave. I never saw her shaken up and nervous at any time. Bold, vociferous and a true go-getter! We used to meet each other so many times in a day and we shared every little thing with each other's families, it was as though we all were one family...A4,A5 and A6.
She will always live in our memories! May her soul rest in peace!

Shocked to learn of your passing, Raji mami, you were always so full of life. A great model right from those days, effortlessly balancing work and home. As kids when we would come to Ghatkopar to visit, we were always guaranteed icecream, a major highlight for us all! When we met at Rishi’s poonal last, you hugged me and said very kind words that I will always carry in my heart. Still not able to believe the news. Om shanti 🙏🙏🙏 and my sincere condolences to the family. May the Almighty grant you the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

I am beyond shocked to think that Raji mami is no more with us. We just had a long conversation about so many things and she spoke proudly about all her kids (& fam) back in November 2022 when i called her. I am so glad that all got a chance to meet her in late December. I never in a million years imagined it would be our last meeting.
I have always been a fan of her cooking and she could make the perfect south Indian meal in minutes! So hard to pick favs from her cooking but i had to, i would be her pineapple kesari - no one makes it like her. She did really huge creative and elaborate kolams with so much ease - she made it look so easy.
She was an amazing role model to us growing up balancing a career in office and her commitments at home. We learnt so much from her! We will miss you Raji mami! You will be in our thoughts always!

I know Rajam aunty since 1995, ever since I and Ravi studied SIES. I was just like her son, she was so loving and affectionate. Their home in Ghatkopar was my second home in Mumbai. It was with aunty and uncle who accompanied me to Chennai for my wedding, I can never forget that train journey I am still to come to terms that you are not around, but I know you will always shower your love and blessings to all of us . Rest In Peace dear aunty.

Rajam Athai was always special to me and my family when she lived in Garodia Nagar. Had a great eye for lovely fabrics and would help my sisters and I select from some of her best collections.. A kind soul who was a darling sister to my father. Sai Ram Athai.. Rest in peace 🙏

Blessed to have a mother in law and a guide like her. It was her who instilled devotion to Lord Sainath in me and guided me to him. A truly spirited, committed and a noble soul to grace our family! She will sorely be missed but with a solace that she's at the lotus feet of Sai. Over the last couple of years there's been a daily exchange of morning messages with Sai's picture accompanying these messages. With a very heavy heart we all bid goodbye to her!

I as a 15 yo boy was asked to fetch Raji Manni from Matunga , from her relative’s house to wadala , for match making with Anna , so she always had a special attachment towards me . She was a multifaceted person , taking care of her family , home etc . We are discussing about 50th wedding anniversary in a grand style to be celebrated in 2024 but God had other plans . It was sudden & least expected. Om Shanti .

Raji manni you shocked us all by your sudden passing away, and leaving a vaccum for ever. You are the only manni of our family. Every sentence of yours starts with SAI and ends with SAI. You selected Thursday ( Guru day) to leave your mortal body from this world.

There's been not a single day when my mom has not held my hand & spoken soft words to me, Though, physically it was not possible but her comforting words everyday were enough to give me courage to carry on with wordly ups and downs. With profound grief in my heart, I would like to say it's never bye from me even though you left this mortal world today. She truly was the embodiment of determination and grit to me; my true friend, my world to me! She was a pious devotee. Right from my childhood until now, it is her teachings which I live by and she has made me a strong willed woman that I am today.
Here's to my mother and my beloved friend, never say goodbye until we meet again. Your darling daughter Gayatri ❤️❤️
