After a difficult and brief battle with  lung cancer our family regrets to announce the loss of our grandfather, Rafael Amparo. Rafael immigrated to this country in 1960, setting down roots by establishing a small accounting business, something he excelled at in his home country of Dominican Republic .

After about 22 years of hard work, Rafael would go on to have two home offices -- one in Philadelphia and one in New Jersey . He split time between both offices. During one of his trips to Puerto Rico he met his wife,Maria. Maria went on to have a child, Benjamin Amparo. After he'd established success in both of his home offices, Rafael eventually transferred his business to his son so that he and Maria could spend their retirement traveling and living the good life.

Though they were both intent on traveling, they'd soon settle down in Philadelphia. Donations can be made to the memorial fund.
