Raegan's obituary
Raegan Reace Sanchez
November 1, 2000 - October 8, 2023
On Sunday, October 8, 2023 our precious Raegan lost her battle with opioid addiction in a suspected Fentanyl overdose. We fought alongside her in this war for several years. The disease of addiction is a powerful and cruel force.
She was a much loved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin. Her passing has ripped the hearts of the many family and friends who loved her beyond measure. She was a smart, talented, beautiful, young lady with an awesome personality and great sense of humor. She was a true artist and walked to the beat of her own drum. Raegan was a force to be reckoned with when she set her mind to something. Prior to her addiction she had a love for music which led her to play the guitar and sing. When she was 15 and 16 years old she and a group of amazing friends (Cam, Joy, Will, etc.) wrote, produced, and recorded an album as the band Drown Soda. Raegan was a brave soul who battled her demons every day. She was a mother and leaves behind a four year old daughter, Percy Bean Furman. Among the shocked and heartbroken left to make sense of her passing is her mother, Christi Gachter Plitt of Boyd, her father and step-mother Evan and Shelly Sanchez of Flower Mound, her grandparents Phil and Sandra Gachter of Azle and Larry and Janice Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM, her siblings Jackson and Kennedy Sanchez of Flower Mound, her best friends Donna Bombonati, Skylin Lowe, Bethany Freeby, and L.J. Padron., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. She is preceded in death by her great grandparents Charles and Marjorie Ogden, Clyde and Wanda Gachter, her uncles Raymond Peppers and Michael Derden, her aunt Robin Mayfield, and her cat Asher. May you rest easy now, my Little.. Your battle is over. You continue to live on in all our hearts.
