Raegan was a beautiful person. Witty, smart, caring, creative, funny, great company, and she was loved SO, SO, SO much. I feel like I have had the biggest part of my soul ripped from me. Thank you all for the calls, the texts, the attempted visits, the offers to help with things. It is much appreciated. I have not felt like facing anything at all until today. I feel much stronger and feel a sense of purpose. I know it's so easy to dismiss things in life, but I am begging each and every one of you.. If you know someone, if you LOVE someone who suffers from opioid addiction, do whatever it takes to save their life. I know it can be daunting. However, I would give a thousand days like the past week or so have been for one good effective day of battling her addiction. Love your people when you can, while you can. That was my mantra these past few years. I just loved her when she would let me.
Trust me when I tell you this.... A heroin addiction is almost always a death sentence. I cannot stress fighting it, enough. I don't care if you have to do experimental treatments. I don't care if they have to go to a hundred treatment centers. I've yet to meet the person who has exhausted every option out there. There is ALWAYS one more thing to try.
