It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Rachelle Anne Scott, MD on the morning of Aug. 30, 2022.

Many of you know she had been battling health challenges in recent years. And boy was she a fighter (we’re talking Ali/Fraiser/Tyson-style warrior). But in the end, she went suddenly. The night before she passed, she said she was tired, and that she wanted to go home... I pray she’s at peace.

Dr. Scott. Rachelle, Rae, Mommy, Mom, Nana—was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, colleague, mentor, teacher, and physician. She was the smartest person I’ve ever known. But she also had a crafty sense of humor and she loved, loved, loved being a doctor and taking care of her patients; she loved teaching, and she loved her students. Everyone who knew her was better for it. We love her. And we will never ever forget her.
