Rachel Marie Sparks, 55, of South Carolina, passed away suddenly at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a long struggle with depression.

She was the daughter of the late James H. Sparks and Ruby L. Sparks. She is survived by her son, Matthew L Sparks, and daughter-in-law, Brittany N Sparks; her brothers, James T. Sparks and Michael D. Sparks; and her two beloved cats, Amelia and Spock.

In accordance with our immediate family abilities and in the spirit of honoring her life in a meaningful and personal way our close immediate family is planning a small, private celebration of life to take place at some point once her ashes have been returned to us, We are so grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and shared memories.
