Background
As a self-taught artist whose talent and resourcefulness helped her lead a rich and fulfilling creative life, Rachel understood firsthand the transformative power of art. She believed that the arts should be accessible to all. As an educator and mentor to many young artists, she knew the cost of materials could often be a barrier. In her memory, please consider supporting Materials for the Arts, which gathers and distributes art materials to art nonprofits and New York City public schools.
