I first met Rachel when she joined the Vernon CERT team. She was always smiling and always willing to work on our various projects. I learned that she loved gardening and shared some of my perennials with her - we actually moved them from my trunk to her trunk at a CERT meeting - right across the parking lot from the police department. We joked about what the police would think was going on! She and I worked at the shelter during a huge winter storm and we had lots of laughs. She was someone that will always have a special place in my heart.

I was so sorry to hear of Rachel's passing.  I was in CERT with her and we had some fun times at events.  She always had a smile and, truthfully, I think she got more beautiful as she aged!  We often discussed flowers and some of hers are from my yard.  I have some of hers in my garden as well.  I will miss Rachel!  Dianne reminded me of the video of Rachel in the race car with her grandson.  You really should post that!  It's a treasure.  Wishing you peace and fond memories.
