It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Pura María Ledezma on February 15, 2025. Born in 1926, Pura Maria spent her life advocating for the voiceless, and her tireless efforts to provide compassion to those who needed it most have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is survived by her cherished children: daughters Gloria Jacamo, Ena Cuadra, Sonia Jacamo, and Urania Jacamo, and sons Julio Raffael Jacamo and Gustavo Jacamo. They will fondly remember their mother's lessons, teachings, and the endless love she poured upon them with each passing day.

Pura María held a profound respect for elders, the widows, the single mothers, and the poorest among us. She believed that everyone deserved empathy and kindness, and endeavored to show compassion in every interaction.
