Priscilla's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Priscilla Queen. Born on July 25, 1950, Priscilla lived an incredibly full life and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Priscilla passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Priscilla is survived by her loving husband, David Queen, her son Andrew Queen, her daughters Rebecca (Alex) Jamrozek and Tessa (Finnie) McMahon, and 5 grandchildren: Violet, Landon, Brandon, Ansley, and Wesley. Priscilla's deep-rooted bond with her family was evident in her unwavering commitment to their happiness, and her memory will forever remain in their hearts.

Priscilla graduated from Ramona High School in 1968 and studied child development and psychology at San Diego State University graduating in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart in 1971 in Ramona, California. Her career included many years at Douglas County Libraries as well as teaching children's literature courses at Metro State, serving as director of the Douglas County Early Childhood Council and storytelling at various events.

Priscilla was an avid reader and loved games of all kinds, especially cards and scrabble. She belonged to a book club as well as other social clubs. Priscilla also cherished the outdoors, with gardening being one of her favorite pastimes. She found peace, joy, and relaxation in her garden, and with her beloved animals including dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, horses, and bees.

Priscilla's zest for life, her love for her family, and her dedication to  leaves a legacy that will be remembered by all those who had the privilege to cross her path. Although she will be deeply missed, Priscilla's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
