Porfirio's obituary
Porfirio "Filio" Rivera, 84, of Davenport, FL passed away peacefully on December 18, 2022. Porfirio grew up in Naguabo, Puerto Rico and as a young adult moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he lived until he retired to Central Florida. He was a business owner of a wood floor scraping business for over 30 years and enjoyed collecting comic books and model cars. Porfirio will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Porfirio was predeceased by his son, Porfirio Rivera Jr, his parents, Dominga Filomeno and Bacilio Rivera, as well as all of his siblings-Lucia, Baudilio, Francisco, Luz, Maria Luisa, He is survived by his wife Carmina Rivera, son Charles Rivera, daughters Nancy Rivera (her children-Randy, Antonette and Mann) and Sandra Guzman. He was instrumental in raising his granddaughter Camille as well as her husband Al and their three sons - Bruce, Brandon, and Justin. He is survived by many numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews. Porfirio requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Porfirio’s loved one to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at 336 Lily Lane, Davenport FL 33837, on Saturday, January 7th at 3pm.
