Pieddro Daniel Avila, a talented tailor and gifted Fashion Design Maker of Apple Valley, CA died peacefully surrounded by his family on February 27, 2019 at the age of 78.
Pieddro is survived by his beloved wife, Vilma, his children, Alicia, Jacqueline, Maria, Peter and Nicko and his brothers and sisters, Rafael, Martina, Violeta and Jeannette. He is predeceased by his son Carlos and his parents. He also leaves behind his beloved pets.
Pieddro was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador on February 23, 1942 to Rafael and Romelia Avila. He worked in many interesting places as a tailor. A few of the places he worked at where at Robinson’s, Bullocks’s, Nordstrom, and Bayne Williams in Pasadena. He also started his own tailor shop, P N T Tailor shop also in Pasadena. He came out of retirement to work a few years at Brooks Brothers in Torrance. He loved working and still wanted to find a place where he could continue to create masterpieces. In 2002, he married his beloved wife Vilma, but who have been together since 1968.
He attended college at FIDM in Los Angeles and also studied and traveled to London, England. He travelled to many places, including Belize, Mexico, St. Louis, Misouri and many other places. He always wanted to travel to interesting and not well known places, like Searchlight, CA.
He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. He always tried to help everyone he met. He would have loved to bring home all the lost cats and dogs he came upon.
Pieddro was a devoted husband, father and friend, but most of all a loyal servant of God. He was a spiritual man and involved in many church activities. He loved getting together at his church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Los Angeles and later at his church in Apple Valley, Our Lady of the Desert. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on March 8, 2019 at Rubidoux Mortuary, 6091 Mission Blvd., Riverside, CA from 5pm to 9pm and burial services at Forest Lawn- Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA at 3pm.
