My deepest condolences to the family and friends of my beautiful cousin, Phyllis.
I fondly remember Phyllis from our childhood days growing up in our hometown, before life took us in different directions. We reconnected in 2012 when my mom moved to Georgia, and from that moment, Phyllis and I became inseparable. She was a constant presence in my mom's life, spending nearly every day with her until she passed in 2014. Afterward, Phyllis and I grew even closer as we both faced the challenges in life, including her own health struggles.
I had the privilege of seeing Phyllis in a new light as she continued to love the Lord, even in the face of her diagnosis. We spent so much time together shopping, cooking, and accompanying her to various activities, including her medical appointments. I will always remember her charm, her zest for life, and her flamboyant character. Phyllis was fearless and always went the extra mile, showing kindness and love to everyone around her.
I will miss her dearly, but I take comfort in the memories we shared and the example she set of strength, faith, and joy.
