Phyllis's obituary

Phyllis Minette Cosmos of Trevor, Wisconsin passed away July 2, 2024 at home at the age of 91 years.  She was born March 26, 1933, in Tinley Park, Illinois, the daughter of the late George and Lucille (Mueller) Cosmos.  Phyllis is survived by six children; Mark (Rosemarie) of Richmond, Illinois, Jeffery of Racine, Wisconsin, Matthew (Karen) of Ironton, Missouri, Tammy Hurt of Evansville, Wisconsin, Diana McKenzie of Huntington Beach, California, and Kathy Jones of Richmond, Illinois.  She is also survived by sisters Dawn Cosmos of Mesquite, Nevada, and Georgette Enz of Big River, California, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, her special friend Kathy Walker, and many other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her son Donald Jones, and her brother Peter Cosmos.

Phyllis worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service.  Phyllis was an avid painter and her artistic gene has been passed down to children and grandchildren alike.  With children located all around the country, she was able to combine her loves of family and travel with frequent visits to see them.  She was an avid nature lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors either tending to her flowers or hiking in a park.  Phyllis had many other interests and was always open to learning new things.  She will be dearly missed, but her spirit lives on in her family.

A memorial service will be held on August 17, 2024. Details to follow.
