It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Phyllis Atkins, who left us peacefully on January 3, 2025. Born on January 2, 1944, she lived a full and wonderful life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Phyllis was a beacon of hope and compassion in her community. With a heart as large as her infectious smile, she was known for her sweet and outgoing nature. Phyllis radiated a warmth that was felt by all, always spreading positivity and joy wherever she went. Her lessons of compassion, patience, and resilience are imprinted on those who were fortunate to have known her, guiding them as they navigate their own lives.
Her life was a testament to selflessness. Phyllis dedicated her time and energy to giving back to those less fortunate and to those who lacked a support system. She was instrumental in various community organizations, consistently volunteering and donating to causes close to her heart. Her profound commitment to service and philanthropy formed an integral part of her identity and left an indelible mark on the community.

Phyllis is survived by her loving family, Rebecca Ward, Charles Davis, Timothy Atkins, April Carter, James Atkins, Malisa Dunham, Cory Dunham, along with a host of other family and friends who will carry on her legacy of kindness and charity. In memory of Phyllis, a funeral service will be held on January 11, 2025, starting at 11:00 am at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center,1328 Dean Forest Rd. All are invited to join and celebrate the wonderful life of Phyllis Atkins.
