Phil and I have been friends since the end of high school. He was always like my big brother I never had since my parent’s divorce and looked out for you. We all grew up together in a small town called Elizabeth and was our hometown. We went through life moments, and he was the cornerstone and the beginning to many friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Even giving our game group a name later in life, the Magnificent Several, a reference to one of his favorite westerns. He taught us to love adventure and enjoy life, getting together most weeks, sharing stories and good times. Reading, games and sports some of his passions. His favorite Miami Dolphins he followed so closely for all these years, a true fan. He was my best man for our wedding and was so honored to have him stand up with me. He loved his friends and family, always the center of Phil’s universe and so proud of them. He will be forever missed and always my friend.

Phil has been taking my cycle classes for as long as I've been teaching at our gym. So I always called him the 'veteran rider '. He was known as the man with the 'bandana'🙂 Phil was on the quiet side mostly but he was serious about his fitness. He rode the bike in the front row like he owned it. When Kristin and Phil came to class together (their date night❤)I use to see him checking on Kristin making sure she was ok until she got the hang of it. I/we are truly going to miss our bandana man. 🙏❤🚴♂️😇

Phil looked out for those around him. It's a bit nerdy, but I'm one of his gaming buddies and when we would play online he would almost always choose the Paladin, a warrior-priest whose distinctive skill was a spell that could rescue allies at the last second. Phil learned to cast that spell as muscle memory and kept constant eye on the rest of us to see when it was needed, no matter how quickly you got ambushed you could count on Phil to be there.

Phil always had a smile to share. We are so very sorry for your loss and our thoughts and continued prayers are with you all.
