Phillip's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Phillip McGrath, a stalwart of patriotism and an embodiment of hard work. Born on December 15, 1960, Phillip departed from this world on May 5, 2025.
Phillip's warmth, tenacity, and no-nonsense approach to life left an indelible impact on everyone he met. He instilled in his children a fervent love of country, community, and the outdoors. He was a pillar of support to his daughter, Lisa McGrath of Somerville, and his son, David McGrath of Providence.
In addition to his own kids, Phillip cherished the role of a doting grandad to his grandchildren, Leann, Kathleen, Gunnar, and Connor. This role was one of his greatest accomplishments, an embodiment of the love he had for his family.
Phillip and his beloved late wife, Michelle, spent their lives fostering a spirit of kindness and humanitarianism. Together, they donated thousands of care packages to soldiers stationed overseas over the years, a testament to their patriotism and their generosity of spirit.
Phillip's legacy is one of unwavering kindness, staunch patriotism, and an admirable dedication to hard work. His life was a testament to these values, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. After the loss of his wife Michelle in 2018, we find solace in the belief that they are now reunited in heaven.
Phillip's enduring spirit lives on in his children and grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory in their thoughts and deeds. Despite his departure, his influence remains, guiding his family and loved ones with the lessons he left behind.
