Doug was my first boss ever and I’m so blessed to have started in his scheduling group at Sequent. He was so knowledgeable, kind and fun. Brought up so many people who are thriving in the energy industry because of the start they got in his group! I have so many awesome memories with Doug and his hilarious jokes. He sent me a pic on April 18 of Katie and Matt in Italy with a wooden sculpture I gave him over 20 years ago! I’m grateful for the few texts we exchanged that day! Deepest condolences to Katie and family and friends 🙏🏾
Tom and I lived across the street from Doug and Andy's house on Lake Livingston Texas. We met out in the street to chat about "whatever" and as time progressed we decided we were hungry and Doug went to get his charcoal grill and lit it in the middle of the road. He brought out steaks to grill and we brought out hamburgers and different neighbors brought out food  and we had a "middle of the road" party! (It was a dead end street)  Doug and Andy were always ready for a good time and made everyone they met feel welcome. The world is a much lesser place without them. We miss them both! Katie, I am so sorry I was dear friends with your mom and Doug and I met several times.   I trained Comet. I know your mom was so very proud of you. She talked to you often. I actually met her in Colorado one time she was there visiting you. I can't believe how horribly devastating it has been for you. I loved your mom so much. She was the absolute sweetest and I still keep several of the voicemail messages. She sent me. She loved Comet so much. I'm glad that they're together. If you ever need to talk or just have somebody to listen, I'm a really good listener. I know we don't know each other, but I consider myself a very good friend of your mom's and I miss her all the time. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I sent you a Facebook request. I will PM you my phone number. Just know that there are many many people praying and thinking about you.

My heart is broken for you guys.  Dougie loved everyone and was such a joy and fun person to be around.  He was loved by all who knew him and I consider myself lucky to be included in that long list of friends and family.  Stay strong and know that he loved you both with all of his heart, as do we!

xoxoxoxo,

The Rohrbachs
