Phillip's obituary

IN MEMORIUM
Born March 11, 1960, in Bethesda MD, loved one, friend, and colleague, Phillip David Biggerstaff ended his watch Monday, February 19, 2019. His fight was a long and tiring one, and in the end he went in peace, what family at his side that could be there. His soul welcomed into the light of heaven, he was finally able to lay his head to rest.
Raised in Friendswood, TX, Phillip was the oldest of his siblings, two sisters and one brother. He grew up playing soccer and loving all things science fiction. Though at the time he graduated high school, he could not join Star Fleet Academy.
A proud member of the United States Navy, Phillip served for nearly twenty years, on various submarines. These submarines are where he met many of the friends he is predeceased or survived by today. He would count each one of them as his brothers, keeping lasting relationships with them even after retirement.
Not one to just retire, Phillip followed up military service by working twenty years with Noble Drilling. He went from traveling out to Africa every other month, while doing rig maintenance, to working in the corporate office. Here in Noble, he would continue to make lasting friendships with his coworkers. Right up to the moment of his passing.
Phillip David Biggerstaff is predeceased by his mother, Mary Biggerstaff
He is survived by his father: Victor Biggerstaff, daughters: Catherine Biggerstaff and Jennifer Biggerstaff (Mike Lietz), son: Matthew Biggerstaff (Kristen Biggerstaff) grandchildren: Madison Biggerstaff, Blu Lietz, Lyon Lietz, sisters:Tonya Brecht, Lisa Marietta (Jason Marietta), Vicki Kirkley (David Kirkley), and brother: Robert Biggerstaff along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
“Carry on my wayward son. They’ll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don’t you cry no more.” -Carry On My Wayward Son, Kansas
“Fair winds and following seas. Sailor, rest your oars.”
