In Memory of Philippe

I was deeply saddened by the call I received on Sunday, 21st September, announcing the passing of Philippe.

I first met him in October 2000 when he arrived in Australia, and from that moment, I had the privilege of working with him over the years. We shared so many memorable moments, one of the most unforgettable being our trip to China early 2001. Those experiences, along with the daily moments we spent collaborating, allowed me to see Philippe’s dedication, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

His presence always made a positive impact on those around him, always ready to share his knowledge and willing to help others. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside him.

To Philippe's family and loved ones, my thoughts are with you. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Dear Philippe, you will be sorely missed. Your charm, wit, knowledge and friendship was really appreciated by not only myself, but many others who have been touched by your presence. Having known you for a number of years across several projects, you have been a figure i could easily approach with all manner of questions, issues and especially for a coffee.

You are leaving a great hole in our lives, and I can only imagine what your family are going through with their loss. Wishing Philippes family my heartfelt condolences, and may you be with God , and may our Lord look after your family and friends at this difficult time.

Cette nouvelle me bouleverse !

I was totally shocked by the news ! All my thoughts are for Philippe family but also friends and collegues unite by this sad event. Philippe and I crossed path a while ago during the first Thailand project in Bangkok and we remained in contact since then, sometimes simply as friend till last videoconf couple of weeks ago to share some thoughts on a opportunity here in the US with FAA. Philippe was such a great, calm and knowledgeable guy . it was a pleasure talking and working with him .   Rest in peace Philippe you will be missed and forever remembered in our best memories

Phil, you will be sorely missed. Thank you for being such a joy to be around. A man of few words but lit up any room with his calming yet positive energy.

There’s never enough time earth-side, I know you’re riding your bike in heaven and enjoying a big dessert right after!

See you on the flip side :)

We have been deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend and collegue, Philippe.

Philippe was such a wonderful person, always kind, incredibly patient, always willing to help, forever so humble and yet, so incredibly talented, smart and knowledgeable. We will always cherish the wonderful memories that we shared with Philippe, as a team  delivering some amazing projects, working through our cheese orders, sharing the chocolate he had in his top drawer (only the best chocolate that he pulled out at the right time) and all the chats that we had about life.

It is so hard to believe that our Philippe is no longer with us and he will truly be missed.

To Philippe's family, we send our deepest condolences, from our family to yours. You are in our thoughts and hearts.

Philippe, rest in peace. We will forever remember your kindness and your beautiful smile.

What a sad news. I had the privilege of knowing Philippe for many years. Philippe was a beacon of wisdom and guidance for many of his colleagues. His vast knowledge and expertise were always shared generously, never hoarded or kept to himself. He had a unique ability to make complex ideas understandable, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter how busy he was. Philippe was kind to everyone, always ready with a warm smile. He cared about his colleagues, and he was always there to lend an ear, offer advice, or simply share a laugh.

Philippe leaves behind a legacy of kindness, support, and knowledge. He showed the importance of generosity, patience, and understanding.

Let us honour his memory by striving to be a little more like him each day - a little more knowledgeable, a little more supportive, and a little more kind.

Rest in peace, Philippe. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

With all my condolence to the whole family.

Bertrand.

My deepest Condolences to the Lepetit family for their loss.

Rest In Peace Boss.

Quelle bien triste nouvelle...

R.I.P.

I will always keep the memory of Philippe in my heart. Thank you, Philippe, for all your help, knowledge, and the wisdom you generously shared. You will be greatly missed.

Dear Philippe's family and Thales colleagues,

I was deeply shocked to hear of Philippe’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him 25 years ago in Melbourne, and over time, our professional relationship blossomed into a true friendship. Philippe was not only a dedicated colleague but also a kind and generous soul who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

His passion for sports was contagious. He taught me how to run, cycle, and swim, and through those moments, I discovered the joy of his company. Philippe had a way of encouraging others with patience and warmth, and I will always remember the Sydney marathon and his commitment to bring me to the finish line..!.

Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear this news. My condolences to all of Philippe's family. I had the pleasure and honour to work with Philippe for over 25 years in the UK, France and here in Australia. His knowledge of the ATM domain was  immense and there never seemed to be a question, no matter how obscure, that he didn't have an answer for. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.

Rest in Peace Philippe

What heartbreaking news. My deepest sympathy goes out to Philippe’s family in this incredibly difficult time.

I had the privilege of working alongside Philippe for many years, and he will forever remain in my memory as a knowledgeable, humble, and endlessly helpful colleague. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to stop what he was doing to support someone else—whether that was patiently sharing his expertise at work, encouraging you to set bold goals, or simply checking in with a kind word.

I will always remember the joy of spending time with him outside of work as well—whether it was running, riding, or swimming together. Philippe was a true sportsman in every sense of the word: competitive yet humble, immensely capable yet always willing to slow down so others could share the journey. I recall countless rides to Kinglake where Philippe, who could have easily pulled away, would instead drift between groups to encourage, support, and make sure no one was left behind. That was simply who he was.

Some of my fondest memories are also of traveling through France with him, following the Tour de France, and seeing his love for the sport and life itself shine through. He had a gift for making every adventure feel special, and for reminding us that the best part of any journey is the people you share it with.

Philippe’s friendship was genuine, his kindness unshakable, and his encouragement a constant source of strength. He was a true friend, a gentleman, and a mate in the truest Australian sense of the word.

Philippe, you left us far too soon. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit, humility, and generosity will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Champion.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of Philippe's passing. We worked together on and off for almost 20 years and he was always a pleasure to be around. He was a good man who always was willing to share information and help out. My condolences go out to his family, this must be so hard for you. He will be deeply missed.
Good evening, What a sad news... My deepest sympathy to the whole family. I had the pleasure and honour to work and collaborate with Philippe for almost 17 years. I will remember him as a very knowledgeable, helpful, humble and friendly person, always here to help and support. I also remembered sharing some nice memories outside of work mainly in AAMI Park to watch many of the Melbourne Rebel, Melbourne Storms and Wallabies matches. Finally, as many of you know Philippe was a mad sportsman but always humble and welcoming for those who want to run, cycle, swim with him even if at a much lower level and always here to encourage you as I experienced many time. Philippe you left us too early and we are missing you deeply! Rest in peace Champion! Best regards, Raymond
