Philip's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip "Phil" Willis, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who left us on October 1, 2023. Born on August 12, 1950, Philip was renowned for his jovial personality, always joking and teasing with everyone around him.
Philip is survived by his loving wife, Linda Willis; his sons, Matthew (Ginger) Willis and Aaron (Valerie) Willis; his brother, Kenneth Willis; his grandchildren, Megan Erb, Gavin Erb, Luke Stevenson, Cameron Willis, Logan Willis, Spencer Stevenson, Taylor (Austin) Haynes, Ethan Willis, and Ryen Willis; and his nieces, Evan Willis, Emily Coyle, Gabriella Turner, Kendra (Scott) Coyle, Megan (David) Turner, and Allison Willis.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Crystelle Willis; his sister, Dianne (Dee) Lippman; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Lippman and Lynn Willis.
A man of many passions, Philip was a lover of Popsicles, Fritos, and an ice-cold Diet Vernor's. He was an avid fan of The Eagles and Chicago, and enjoyed watching TV shows like NCIS, Seal Team, and Yellowstone. Philip had a soft spot for the Fast & Furious movie franchise, and rooted for Cincinnati's sports teams – the Reds and Bengals. Euchre was his preferred game, and he enjoyed watching Mecum Classic Car Auctions. His favorite recreational activity was watching TV, and he relished his vacations to Cancun, Jamaica, Destin, and Hawaii. Philip had a particular fondness for the color orange.
Philip's legacy lies in the immense love he had for his family, and in raising two exceptional young men who, in turn, have raised their own wonderful children. His love for cars, another of his many legacies, will be carried forward by his sons. Philip will be greatly missed by his fur babies, Zeva & Zoey.
A man of strong faith, Philip's favorite book was The Bible. He knew the importance of a great attitude in life, and he shared this valuable lesson with everyone he knew. Philip's jovial spirit, playful personality, and love for his family will forever be remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.
