Loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather & Friend, 62
Philip Gerard Lore, 62, of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family in the home he built and cherished. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, November 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, November 20 at 9:15 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Phil grew up with strong family values, a deep love for his Italian heritage, and a work ethic that shaped the rest of his life. He married the love of his life, Susan Elaine (nee` Greco) Lore, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and tradition.
Phil was the proud father of four children: Dominic, Danielle, Elaina, and Sophia, and the cherished grandfather of Nicolina. He devoted his life to providing for his family, sharing wisdom, offering support, and showing his children the importance of strength, independence, kindness, and hard work.
Throughout his life, Phil was a man of remarkable dedication and achievement. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from West Virginia University. He went on to become a respected real estate appraiser for 40 years, known for his expertise, integrity, and commitment. Phil was also a devoted member of the Buoncammino Society, proudly honoring his heritage and faith with his service to Maria Santissima del Buoncammino di Altamura.
Known for his big heart, his ability to fix anything, his humor, his dance moves, his dedication to family, and his unwavering generosity, Phil touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a man who gave without hesitation, lived with intention, and embraced each day with resilience.
Phil is survived by his loving wife Susan, his children Dominic Lore and his wife Janelle, Danielle Brebner and her husband Nicholas, Elaina Lore, and Sophia Lore, and his granddaughter Nicolina. He is also survived by his father, Dominick Lore, and his siblings Lorraine Lore, Lucille Lore Cilento, MaryAnn Aceti, Joseph Lore, and Lauri DiBianco, along with their families.
He is predeceased by his mother, Anna (nee` Zaccardi) Lore, and his in-laws, Marjorie and Victor Greco.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward the 2026 candlelight procession at the Feast of Maria Santissima del Buoncammino di Altamura, for the Lore Family to carry the saint in Phil’s honor and partake in his favorite tradition. Donations may also be made to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org, a cause close to the family’s heart.
Phil’s legacy will live on through the love he poured into his family, the lessons he taught, and the strength he embodied. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
