Phil's obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Philip "Phil" Lepri, a man of extraordinary character, who departed from this world on December 19, 2024. A beacon of love, laughter, and larger-than-life energy, Phil was born on June 6, 1960, and went on to touch many lives with his vibrant personality.
Phil was predeceased by his beloved parents, Henry and Beulah Lepri, and his cherished siblings, Henry, Harold (Ed), and Dorthy Lepri. The memories of their love and camaraderie will forever remain in our hearts, as we know he walks hand in hand with them now.
Phil is survived by his loving children, Tamara Anderson and Robert Lepri, whose lives he greatly enriched with his wisdom, humour and infectious love for life. His joy radiated even brighter with the addition of his sons-in-law Daniel Anderson and his daughter-in-law Jessica Lepri.
The real gems of his life were his beautiful grandchildren, Jayden, Brianna, Kimberlie, Conor, Rylee, and Wyatt. Phil took immense pleasure in teaching them how to fish, stressing the importance of staying in school, and, above all, how to love and live life to the fullest. His greatest accomplishment was his family, and he took profound pride in their achievements.
There was no stronger cheerleader for the Jets. Whether it was a roaring victory or a disappointing loss. He was also a master at Scrabble and crossword puzzles. Many days nights were spent with a crossword puzzle book and a pen , sitting outside.
Phil loved to fish, a hobby he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Those fishing trips, full of smiles, laughter and life lessons, will be remembered fondly. His most cherished moments were spent simply being with his grandkids, who filled his heart with overwhelming joy.
Phil was a man who filled every room with laughter and love. He was louder than life, yet caring and gentle. His legacy of love, compassion, and humour will continue to inspire and comfort us as we navigate life without him.
Phil's love for life and his family has left an indelible mark, and he will be profoundly missed by his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
