Philip Frederick Johnson, 87, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2021. Philip was born on November 14, 1933 to Frederick Smith and Winifred Ivy Johnson in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. In 1963 Philip left Australia on an intended world wide tour. On these travels, he met Joan Cochrane Haddow Findlay in Canada, and they wed in 1965, going on to have one child, Joan-Marie Johnson. However, he also gained a son with Joan’s first born son John.

Philip was a kind and loving man, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them.

Philip was predeceased by his two siblings Denise and Bill and survived by his sister Peggy.  He is also survived by his loving wife of 56 years Joan, his daughter Joan-Marie (Darrell) and son John (Janice). Also, his beloved grandchildren Kristie, Chelsea, Cassandra, Connor, Ewan, Robyn, Jason and Brandon. Along with great-grandchildren Skye, Georgia, Jack and Douglas.
